Queries Sent to Search Providers
A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the third-party company that operates that tool. Pittsylvania County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy terms govern its receipt and processing of the query.
Messages Sent to Us
If you email us or submit a contact message, we retain the supplied address, message, and related details long enough to review and answer it. We do not share that correspondence outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Technical Visit Data
Ordinary web operations can collect limited technical and usage details when a page loads. Those details may include:
- the Internet Protocol address used for the visit;

These choices cover information controlled by this private site. Requests about a jail, court, VADOC, BRRJA, BOP, ICE, or other government record must go to the agency that maintains it.
